Represented businesses and individuals in a variety of cases involving

fiduciary duty, choice of entity, corporate governance, dissolution, agency relationships, insurance coverage, bad faith breach of insurance contract, employment, fraud, negligence and other personal and business torts, consumer protection, fraudulent transfers, uniform commercial code, banking, finance, government bidding, procurement, and sales and use tax.
Represented clients in both litigation and transactional matters in a broad
range of commercial, construction, and consumer litigation and arbitration
cases as well as government cases and appeals up to $50M in dispute.
Represented clients in all aspects of post-trial filings, including motions
for attorneys' fees and costs, pre- and post-judgment interest, and
enforcement of judgment procedures. Handled cases at all levels of appeal,
arguing cases to the Colorado Court of Appeals, Colorado Supreme Court, and
Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals which resulted in numerous published cases.
Filed briefs in the United States Supreme Court. Privileged to make the
first oral argument in the Colorado Supreme Court's new courthouse and
establish binding precedent applicable to all limited liability companies in
Colorado.
Substantial experience representing owners, developers, general contractors,
and subcontractors in construction disputes on a breadth of topics
including, defects, delay, lost productivity, scheduling, cost overruns,
breach of contract, bid protests, and government contracting, bids, and
procurement. Projects included airports, heavy highway, infrastructure,
mining, levies, multi-use and commercial buildings, and residential
buildings and houses.
Represented cities, towns, counties, home rule municipalities, special
districts, local authorities, commissions, councils, boards, and individual
public officials and employees on matters concerning the Americans with
Disability Act, annexation, business licensing, cannabis regulations, civil
rights and 42 U.S.C. §1983 claims, construction, federal and state
constitutional claims, federal and state preemption, elections, eminent
domain, governmental immunity, liquor laws, land use, open meetings laws,
open records acts, PIFS, police/sheriff/jail actions, sales and use tax,
TABOR, TIFs, urban renewal, zoning and numerous other federal, state, and
local laws and regulations.

performing both transactional and litigation work. Cases concerned topics
